Amazing location, best place to stay in Havana! The apartment is clean, centrally located and you are living around locals which means you get to experience the real Cuba. Get the breakfast made daily (for a small cost), it’s amazing!

great place, well equipped with Pieter giving some great communication. if living in Central Havana is your desire this is a wonderful place. it might be a shock if this is your 1st time visit to this amazing city, but within a day you will know the neighbours and realize how safe and friendly Havana generally is. Wifi park up the street, two relatively moderate priced restaurants around the corner. then two upscale ones further down the street. but generally you are in the middle of it all. thanks Pieter

“Whole apartment at your disposal. Great hospitality from the hosts. Breakfast offered for 4 CUC per person. Late check-in was not a problem. 15-20 minutes walk to the city center. Relatively loud neighborhood but this is the case almost everywhere in Center Havana. The hosts gave us valuable advises about where to go and did a great job assisting the organization and carry-out of our trip to Vinales and to the airport. You’ll find a lot of useful information about the city of Havana, places to eat and emergency telephone numbers in the apartment. Local telephone device available in the flat. You live in the middle of the neighborhood with local people which gives you real feeling about the day-to-day live of the Cubans. All in one: very good place to stay, very good communication with the hosts, we were very pleased to stay there.”

While staying in Havana, casa Guantanamera is a great accommodation. You feel your part of the city because you are in the middle of busy downtown Havana. However, you do not notice much at night because the bedrooms are in the back of the house. We are welcomed at the agreed time and we felt also welcome. The family who cares for the house is nice and helpful. The breakfast was well taken care of and after that the dishes were even done. That sometimes there is no gas or electricity at Havana city, but it is usually solved quickly. In short, staying in this house feels like a resting place in a vibrant city. And if you did not have time for your holiday to go to the hairdresser, you can go to the barbershop across the street.

We had had a nice trip and we are happy to be home again. Yesterday, we spoke to Nairobis for the last time.
You’ve said nothing about her too much. Nothing but praise for her !!! Breakfast for the first morning was exquisite! It is a nice gesture to the guests.
Very nice that we didn’t need to do shopping for groceries the first morning, where you do not know the road yet.
I had first asked for a casa in the Vieja district but this was also very nice. We also said that this casa is a good start if you want to discover Havana.
The house was fine. We had all the space and that was a luxury! However, there was one small thing.
The toiletseat was loose and that for 4 people the last day was only 1 roll of toiletpaper. Fortunately, we had one too.
Thank you for the welcome in your nice house. We enjoyed our stay very much! I told Nairobi that when she came to the Netherlands she came to see her once.
I would say go on with the fine things you are doing right there in Gervasio, Havana. Again thanks a lot!

Our stay at Yony’s and Pieter’s place was incredibly helpful for navigating a travel destination that was very unfamiliar as Americans. We were able to see the entirety of Havana with out of the incredibly central location that Pieter’s location provides. I would highly consider staying for a second time when I return to the beautiful country of Cuba.

Living like a local! Historic Cuban home in the middle of a bustling neighborhood. We were very happy with Nairobis and Rudy that greeted us and helped us with anything we needed. Easy to reach and try nice. I also highly recommend paying for the $4 per day breakfast. Two lovely ladies will come in and prepare you eggs, toast, fresh fruit, coffee and fresh juice. Great way to start the day in the beautiful country. No wifi but who needs it! You are on vacation! 🙂

After a beautiful trip of three weeks, we have returned from Cuba to Belgium. That Cuba is a splendid country, we should not tell you anymore. What kind of people, what a beautiful landscape and a lot of good dancers! Really, our experiences with Cuba were phenomenally good!
The casa was a perfect base for visiting Habana Vieja, Centro Habana and Vedado. With a few short walks you will be rapidly in the city. Also the facilities in the casa were definitely alright. The house was huge, the airco worked well, and the beds were okay. Rudy and Nairobis did a great job to support us. They really took care of us and helped us with all our questions and wishes!
So to summarize: you have a beautiful casa with a great location to explore all of Havana. In addition, the reception and the help of your crew is definitely a big plus! Keep it up that way! If we ever come back to Cuba, you can definitely expect us again in your casa!
